Equipment Installation/Commissioning
  • Modern electrical distribution systems are complex in design and often include interconnecting with other equipment such as batteries, communications, SCADA, other switchgear assemblies and thermal monitoring. As a result, the physical delivery of the project to the jobsite is not the last stage in the process. Not only must the equipment be installed but the various systems must be verified as to correct operation. This is both a productivity and a safety issue.

There is no entity better suited to handle these tasks than Powell. We designed it, we manufactured it and we know the details of what is necessary. Our factory certified technicians are ready to provide the level of service you require in order to move your project to that "ready to go" stage.

  • Powell factory certified technicians are ready and able to assist you and your project team with Equipment Installation and Commissioning services. If your project includes Powell provided solutions then we have the greatest insight into the proper installation and operation of the equipment. Our technicians will arrive at your jobsite with the intricacies of your equipment well understood. This increases the efficiency of start up services and decreases the time required for these activities. If your project does not include Powell sourced equipment then we can provide a third-party view of installation and operation that will give you the knowledgeable comfort of knowing that your project will finish under the watchful eye of the most experienced personnel available.

  • Powell factory certified technicians can provide as much or as little of installation and commissioning services as you require. For installation we can provide simple supervisory services to be there to see that the equipment is properly off loaded, moved, stored or prepared for installation. Alternately Powell can provide all the needed personnel and equipment needed to get your equipment installed with a complete "turn-key" approach. Commissioning of equipment requires a great deal of verification and testing to make sure everything is correct and all safe guards are in place. This often involves test equipment and procedures. Powell can provide everything from as little as rental of the needed test equipment to a completely staffed process including commissioning spare parts and all required field experts.

  • When it comes to the last stages of a project everyone is anxious for things to go smoothly and without issue. You can be assured of that on the level you need by including Powell Service in your project. Let us provide any or all of the following:
    • Experienced factory certified technicians
    • Required test equipment
    • Assistance in the preparation of procedures
    • Spare parts
    • Installation and commissioning project management services

  • The same expertise that Powell brings to the custom engineering, design, and manufacture of your electrical solution can be brought to the field activities associated with your project tasks of installation and commissioning. Let us add the Powell experience and expertise to make certain that your project goes through the start up process with the same ease as the production portion of the project.

  • Field testing guidance calls upon the codes and standards of the following organizations. Powell only uses highly trained factory certified technicians and best industry practices in our effort to make certain you get the best out of your project.
